Machu Picchu – Full Day

Machu Picchu - Full Day

We tailor made all our programs!

How to get to Machu Picchu is one of the questions that every traveler looks before traveling to Peru. There are different access routes to visit Machu Picchu such as by hikes, cars or by train. Typically, one of the most comfortable ways that allow us to have more time is by visiting Machu Picchu by train which is one of the most famous and traditional routes to the lost city of the Incas.

Our excursion to Machu Picchu from Cusco begins early in the morning. We will be transferred to one of the Sacred Valley train stations (Poroy or Ollantaytambo) with a traveling time of about 4 hours. During this journey, we will appreciate the Andean and jungle landscapes diversity which makes this trip unique.

At our arrival, one of our representatives will be waiting for us to escort us to our hotel if we have a night in Machu Picchu or, to the bus station if we have one day to enjoy this world wonder. The bus towards the Inca citadel takes 30 minutes approximately.

Once there, our tour guide will show us the way and will explain to us why this city was meaningful during Inca times. We will go through different religious enclosures, streets, avenues which make this city a gem in the Inca architecture.

Our tour will last almost 3 hours, and then we will have some free time to enjoy the best views and explore the lost city of the Incas. After this, we will go back to Machu Picchu town by taking the bus or, if desired, we can make a walk (2 hours) through a small Inca trail. In Machu Picchu town, we will take our train back towards the Poroy or Ollantaytambo train station where one of our representatives will be waiting for us to lead us to our hotel.

Finally, another question that we usually consider essential to answer is what else to do in Machu Picchu? Once in Machu Picchu, we can visit the Mandor gardens and waterfall, the local museum, the medicinal warm springs and we can do some hikes to different Machu Picchu’s mountains. Every one of these activities is carefully planned through our specialists' team that will make you stay in Machu Picchu as one of the most memorable experiences full of discovery, relax and mysticism.
