Horseback riding in Cusco
WE TAILORMADE ALL OUR PROGRAMS!
The horseback riding in Cusco is an activity great for equestrian lovers and for those who want to visit the less visited archaeological sites near Cusco city. With different routes and paths to follow, the horse riding in Cusco has become one of the easiest and enchanting activities in Cusco.
One of our traditional routes comprehends a visit to off the beaten path sites like The Moon Temple, the X zone, the Monkey temple among others.
For this activity, we will drive near to Sacsayhuaman to meet our horses. Then, we will ride towards Tambomachay with different visits on route to the sites mentioned above. Tambomachay is essential to understand better the importance of water in the Andean civilization.
After we have a small walk to Puca Pucara and on our way back to our starting point, we will visit the temple of the Moon which is an Inca site related to religious rituals and ceremonies. Here we will observe different zoomorphic figures that seem to show a connection with the Andean Cosmovision. A place without a doubt full of mysticism and folklore.
Our activity will end with our way back to Cusco; however, we could also have the chance to finish our horseback riding tour with a hike back to Cusco’s main square. We will walk through an Inca trail that was part of a road network that communicated every region of the Inca state. A path that not many people use these days.
