Huchuy Qosqo Trek

Huchuy Qosqo trek

We tailor made all our programs!

The Huchuy Qosqo trek is a journey of 2 days and 1-night that takes us to a remote archaeological site. Its name comes from a Quechua word which means small Qosqo. Qosqo was the Inca name and known from colonial times as Cusco.

During this alternative trek, we will observe the unmistakable Andean landscapes, its geography, the way of living of the Andean man, their traditions, culture, and identity. An unforgettable experience where we will feel that cultural immersion by being part of a community and sharing their costumes.

Day 1: Cusco - Tambomachay - Pucamarca

We will depart from Cusco towards Tambomachay which will be our trek start point. We will go through different altitude passes where we will observe the typical Puna or high altitude land from where we will see Cusco.

On route, we will stop near Qeullacocha lagoon to enjoy our lunch. Nothing better to have a locally prepared meal and feel the nature so close! After this, our way will take us to another pass; we will observe from this point the Piuray and Qoricocha lakes. One more pass in our way then we will descend to Pucamarca, a typical Andean community where we will sleep sharing stories, and experiences with the people.
