The city tour in Cusco has been widely known as one of the best tours to know Cusco's principal attractions. During the city tour in Cusco, we will visit important sites such as Sacsayhuaman, Qoricancha, Tambomachay, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and the Cathedral. Places that make a perfect fit to understand better the history, culture, and identity of this amazing city.

Cusco was considered the capital of the Inca civilization and played an important role during colonial times. Through our city tour, we will observe the architectural blend of these influences (Inca and Spanish) and, we will observe how these have become part nowadays of the Andean man's daily life.

Our tour will start with a visit to the Cathedral. Besides appreciating the art, history, and architecture, we will have a better understanding of how the art has been used to express underground messages, a place without a doubt full of stories

Then, our next visit will be to what has been considered one of the most important temples of the Andean culture, Qoricancha. Located in the navel of the world, according to several scholars, this temple played an important role in the Andean Cosmovision. During this visit, we will also observe some colonial paintings since, after the European contact, a convent was built on top of the Inca remains.

After our visit, we will be headed to the archaeological complex of Saqsayhuaman. This park is a complex with several archaeological sites. Some of these are Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo, Tambomachay and Puca Pucara. Places that will help us to understand why this city was considered sacred and really important for the Andean man.

Our last visit will take place in Tambomachay, a place highly important in relation to water. After this visit, we will head back to Cusco to have the rest of the day free to enjoy a beautiful evening admiring the colonial and Inca monuments that form part of this city that take us to the past.

OPTIONAL: Depending on your time, we could add more activities after our city tour. From walking tours, cooking classes or a night tour to some local bars and see Cusco from another perspective.
